The racking in this warehouse system stands on motor driven trolleys and moves on rails in the floor. A series of racks then forms a dense-storage unit with a moving aisle. The driver can open the required aisle by radio, a button system or a light signal.

| Mobile racking has very high warehouse space utilization, but the handling capacity is low and the capital cost is relatively high. |
With a moving aisle up to 157", goods can be efficiently taken into stock with a stacker / counterbalance truck. Picking with picking trucks permits the opening of three aisles (3 x 51").
Effective in freezers and used in VNA aisle of 64" to 75" etc. |
